Larry “Coach C” Czeszewski – Owner Walk Off Baseball & Softball Academy

Larry Czeszewski is a three-time “Coach of the Year” in San Antonio.  Larry Czeszewski, or “Coach C”, as he’s better known, has partnered with GFR Development Services to bring a premier baseball and softball training facility to the San Antonio market.  As President of Walk Off Management, LLC, Larry Czeszewski brings over thirty years of experience in baseball.

In addition to coaching baseball at the largest school districts in the San Antonio area, Larry Czeszewski has been operating and coaching Select baseball teams locally over the past 17 years.  He coaches 9 teams throughout the year through his Select organization, C Ball, with 12 to 14 players per team, and his teams play baseball on local, regional, and national levels. Coach C’s vast Select baseball coaching experience has allowed him to develop long-standing relationships with Select coaches and organizations that have him well connected to over 50 teams in just the San Antonio area.  His extensive high school coaching experience has developed into personal relationships with the High School baseball and softball coaches throughout San Antonio and the surrounding area.

Ryan Ramirez
Head Walk Off Coach 13U National Squad & specializes in catching but is well rounded in all skills.

Ryan Ramirez grew up playing baseball for the Cball Select organization, run by Coach C. As a freshman he attended Southside High School and started as a freshman on Varsity making all district honors. Ryan attended Murray State College where he was a catcher & designated hitter for the Aggies. Ryan has been part of the Walk Off organization for three years. Along with Walk Off’s Select team, Ryan is also the Head Baseball Coach at Bracken Christian.

Zach Barrera
Assistant Walk Off Coach 13U

Coach Barrera was born in San Antonio, and has been playing baseball for 15 years. He grew up playing for the Cball organization, which was run by Coach C, for 3-4 years. After highschool, he received 2 JUCO offers and 1 D1 offer to UTRGV, but elected to go to UTSA to focus on school.

Dusten Knight
Head Walk Off Coach 12U – Specializes in pitching but is well rounded in all skills

Dusten has over 10+ years of baseball experience. He was a four year letter winner in varsity baseball. He was named to the All Conference Baseball Team three times, was two time pitcher of the year and named MVP of his conference twice. He began his D1 college pitching career at University of Texas Pan American. In his senior year, Dusten was named to the All Conference Team. Coach Knight was drafted by the Giants during his senior year. He was voted pitcher of the month multiple times by the Giants. Most recently he was picked up by the Twins in the rule V draft where he was also awarded pitcher of the month for the Twins Organization. Dusten Knight plays at the AAA level. He enjoys working on mechanical, physical and mental development with young aspiring athletes.

Denson Hull
Assistant Walk Off Coach 12U

Attended Creighton University playing D1 ball. Coach Hull was a part of the 2019 Big East Championship and Corvallis regional team. He pitched in the regional final game against Michigan. Most recently, he was drafted in 2019 by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Rob Moreno
9U Head Walk Off Coach

This is Coach Moreno’s 3rd year coaching Walk Off’s Select Baseball Teams. He aims to transition his love for training athletes into baseball and instill good training habits into younger athletes.

Jesse Borden
9U Assistant Walk Off Coach – specializes in pitching but is well rounded in all skills

Coach Jesse attended Midland Junior College where he won a conference championship as well as 80 total games in his two years in the program. After Midland, he attended UIW. In his senior year Jesse appeared in 10 games, recorded five strikeouts in 6.2 innings pitched and held opponents to a .182 batting average. He carried a 0.00 ERA though 2.2 innings pitched in the Southland Conference action. While with UIW, Coach Jesse held opponents both hitless and scoreless in seven games.

Hondo Gonzalez
10U Head Walk Off Coach

Coach Gonzalez has over 13 years of coaching experience. He played baseball in high school as well as college. He also holds several years of college level baseball coaching experience.

Ben VanRyn
Assistant Walk Off Coach

Ben is a graduate of UTSA with a major in Kinesiology Minor Health. He had a 10 year pro career with the Expos, Dodgers, Reds, Braves, Angels, Cardinals, Cubs, Padres, Blue Jays & White Sox. Ben has received many awards, Gatorade Player of the Year, all levels of pro all stars & minor league Pitcher of the Year 1993. Ben played in the majors with the Angels, Cubs, Padres & Blue Jays. He has participated with numerous organizations through out Texas which include the South Texas Sliders, SA Wranglers, Ft. Worth Blackhawks & the Ft. Worth Cats. Ben has 25 years experience developing young athletes in Texas with over 100 athletes in college and pro levels.

Gunnar Buhner

Son of former 14 year major leaguer Jay Buhner.

•Attended Abilene Christian in 2014, starting 51 games as a freshman.
•Transferred to Columbia Basin College in Pasco, WA. Hit .313 earning All Conference in 2015.
•Transferred to Lewis-Clark State College and won back to back national championships in 2016 and 2017- the schools 18th and 19th titles. Conference gold glove winner and World Series gold glove winner in 2016.
•Signed with Phillies as an undrafted free agent in 2017.
•Played in the United Shores Professional Baseball League in 2018 and selected as an All Star.
•In 2019, played for the Grizzlies in the Frontier League and played every position except pitcher and catcher.
•Signed with the Lincoln Salt Dogs in 2020.
